Western Newspaper Publishing Co., Inc.
Western Newspaper Publishing Company, Inc. traces its history
back over 125 years to the time when it supplied pre-set pages
to weekly newspapers in outlying communities throughout the
Midwest. Today, our company name is a mis-nomer; the majority of
our work is perfect-bound technical publications with particular
emphasis on law reviews and law journals.
In 1968, Western was purchased by George and Barbara Gard. In
just a few short years, they turned the company into a
multi-million dollar operation and one of the leading commercial
printers in the Midwest. Upon Mr. Gard’s death in 1989, Mrs.
Gard became President, and carries on his legacy of dedicated
service to the legal profession.
Our commitment to the Law Review market is a direct result in
our continuously updating equipment. In 1999, we revamped our
press room with two Heidelberg Presses. In 2001, we totally
changed our Pre-Press department going to an all-digital format.
All of these enhancements ensure our continued strength in the
Law Review Market.
Western offers a wide variety of services aimed at fulfilling
every possible need in the law review market. The listing on our
services page
summarizes the diversification in typesetting, printing, binding
and mailing . . . all at affordable prices!
